Georgia – Senaki

Our country of ancient culture and traditions, the owner of priceless spiritual and material treasures, today, in an era of cataclysms and changes, is in dire need of a literate generation full of the grace of humanity. Faced with new realities in the process of globalization, the nation must maintain the core of our identity – our homeland, our language, our faith, our national identity, and at the same time develop our own path, armed with “appropriate timing” and technological knowledge. This is the work of all those little ones who are now sitting in front of us and staring at us with wide-open dreamy eyes …
In one of the oldest cities in Colchis, Senaki, there is a private school – a lyceum, which looks to the future with hope, and students and teachers together create the history of the school.
“History of Senaki Private School-Lyceum” started years ago. The foundation of the Temple of Knowledge was laid in 2010 and since then it has been standing in the service of the country with dignity.
The history of the school is the history of the people working here, its students, and the relationships that have developed between them. Let us agree, it is thanks to this relationship that for each of us the memories of school are so warm and beautiful. The school is proud of the people working here and the great successes associated with them.
Before we talk about the achievements and successes, it should be noted that the school has made it its main duty to establish a person with high civic responsibility, fair, tolerant, humane, purposeful.
From the very first day, the school, which was characterized by special activity, also showed its results. The five gold medalists of the first issue of the 2010-2011 academic year won 4-100% and 1-70% grants. It has been like this ever since — school graduates succeed in national exams. The school has received numerous thank-you notes from the universities for its excellent student body.
The school is involved in the “National Teaching Olympiad” with special interest. In 2015, Levan Tsomaia, an excellent student of the school, took second place, and the following year he won a 100% grant at the Free University.
The school motto “Knowledge educates, faith deifies” is really justified. Winning the regional competition “What, Where, When” and “Brain Fight” is important. It should also be noted that students are interested in technical subjects, as evidenced by the success of students at the Kings and Everest Mathematical Olympiads.
Luka Kharebava, a student of our school, has won the Everest International Mathematical Olympiad three times in a row. In 2018, Luka became the winner of the Everest Gold Tour, the winner of first place, gold medal, ASUS laptop, iPod, and, most importantly, a 100% voucher for a 4-month English language course.
Luka also participated in and won the Kings Mathematical Olympiad in 2017-2018, for which he was rewarded with a free trip to Anaklia. I would also like to inform you that Luka is the only student in the district who has achieved such great success at the Mathematical Olympiad.
Our students actively and successfully participate in various international conferences, such as the scientific conference “The Legacy of Pasepais” in London and “The Skull of My Beautiful Georgian Woman”.
Students of special interests and goals study in the school. The existing environment helps them to find and know themselves, to express their interests, and to incarnate. That is why students who are obsessed with different sports have a number of achievements.
Beyond the dry facts is the daily life of the school – saturated with the thoughts of each student, decided by the teacher …
“Knowledge enlightens, faith deifies” – history began, history took place, history continues.
